One of the biggest faults seen at the driving range is when we hit ball after ball and barely take a break. We might think that we’re instilling a key move by doing it over and over in a short space of time but this really isn’t the best way to practise and improve.
Leading coach Dan Whittaker takes us through how we should be using our practice time more efficiently.
What will you learn?
1. Create spacing between shots
2. Move away from the mat after each shot
3. Use your pre-shot routine
4. Watch the shots properly
5. Make your practice more like being on the course
Dan is an elite coach whose aim is to find the root cause of the problem within a player's swing, using this as a catalyst to address all other faults that exist as a result. Goal setting is key to long- term success and creating a unique route map to fit the individual's needs, wants and desires is vital. Finding the root cause, and setting goals, allows a player to make the necessary changes and to take ownership of their swing.
