PGA Professional Chris Cutchie has some good advice for golfers who get into trouble with their pitching.

Chris likes to see the lead arm (left arm for a right-handed golfer) keep nice and connected with the body. This helps to ensure there’s sufficient speed on the downswing – and a real commitment to the strike with the top half of the body.

To help the body and left arm to work together correctly, Chris recommends a drill in which he keeps a glove under his left arm-pit when practising pitch shots.

Chris sums it all up neatly: “Left arm tight, loads of shoulder rotation, much better results”.
