Growing up in Fife, as an amateur Andrew won some prestigious tournaments and managed to reduce his handicap to 1. As a Junior Andrew won his Club Championship at Kirkcaldy GC on two occasions and went on to win the Fife Champion of Champions in 2007. He also represented Fife in county matches on a number of different occasions. In 2009 Andrew moved to Qatar working at Doha Golf Club's Golf Academy. Andrew Started his PGA training in September 2015.
