What to Expect

  • We’ll start by discussing what you’re looking to get out of lessons
  • You can bring your own clubs or borrow some for the lesson
  • We’ll take a look at your current swing, even if you’ve never swung a club before, and discuss what could be worked on
  • We’ll go through practice routines you can do at home between lessons
  • We’ll create a plan for the next few lessons

About Jamie

I am currently a PGA Teaching Professional based at The Forest of Arden Golf & Country Club and specilaise in helping golfers to play their best golf, for longer. I do not believe there is a perfect golf swing, however I do believe there is a perfect golf swing for each golfer. We are all different shapes, sizes, ages, and all have different ability levels. We also all have different goals for our golf games and reasons for playing this great game will differ for each person. That's why my approach is to teach the individual and not force a poarticular way of swinging upon them. I am aware of the different theories/models but we all require different approaches. In my coaching I use Trackman's TM4 Launch Monitor and have found this to be a fantastic tool in my coaching. The data provided by Trackman allows me to know exactly what is happening during impact between the golf club and ball and removes any guesswork. I also use HackMotion which allows me to help golfers understand their knowledge of wrist angles and how they effect the quality of strike, speed and direction. A great recent addition to my coaching has been introducing CoachNow to my setup. This is a great way for me to communicate with my clients and post lesson notes/videos etc. I am experienced in coaching all ability levels from beginners through to competing professionals.
