Having won a national championship, played on the European Tour, given 30,000 golf lessons, and spent ten years studying the Psychological Flexibility model under the guidance of the world famous psychologist Professor Steven C Hayes, I understand the challenges people face when trying to improve and more importantly how we, as individuals, can better step up to those challenges. For instance, once you have the technical knowledge of WHAT to change in your swing, HOW do we best do that? There are simple processes we can engage in that help us to effectively 'learn on steroids', and understanding these processes is absolutely key to avoid the worst situation of all, putting in all the effort, but not making any progress. Does your practice swing disappear when you step to the ball? Do you suffer from performance anxiety? Do you struggle under pressure? Understanding the mechanisms that underpin these issues has allowed me to help literally thousands of golfers liberate their own performances. 'Three weeks ago I played in a Celebrity pro-am at Formby Hall with none other than Lord Ian Botham. As well as being filmed on Sky Sports, being in a marquee group meant we had 4-5,000 spectators following us. As a typical club golfer and 12 handicap I had never experienced anything like it, my legs felt like they may buckle underneath me. The work Trevor and I did in the build up to the event was extraordinary, his level of knowledge is immense, but more than that he delivered our sessions with humour, compassion and skill. Whilst feeling I may faint on the first tee I proceeded to crush my drive 280 yards down the middle (I normally hit 240) and even outdrove the pro and eventual winner, Paul Broadhurst! If you're looking to improve your swing, short game, or the mental side of things, I can't recommend Trevor highly enough!' -Neil Conquest Abbey Hill GC
