Matthew Turnock - Golf Lessons

I have been the Resident PGA Golf Professional at Mottram Hall since 1992 when I began as a 21 year old. I provide coaching programmes to all standards of golfer from beginner to advanced and also specialise in Junior golf development as well as Disability golf coaching working with local groups with physical and learning difficulties as well as those who have suffered strokes and use golf as part of their rehabilitation. I am very proud of this side of my coaching and take great satisfaction from seeing how participants have benefitted physically as well as mentally in helping rebuild confidence. I am a Cheshire County Girls And Boys Academy Coach working with young golfers helping to develop their talents and skills in order for them to move up the County ladder. In 2018 I was recognised in the annual England Golf Awards in London with the accolade of ENGLAND GOLF COACH OF THE YEAR which I was hugely proud to receive. My coaching philosophy is to keep my instruction simple and easy to understand. I use video analysis and SkyTrak launch monitor technology when appropriate and all pupils are given a dedicated FREE Coach Now training space where all their lesson notes and videos are stored in order to help pupils remember the content covered in their sessions. I run individual as well as group coaching programmes throughout the year and also organise Playing & Coaching trips abroad as well as in the U.K. I look forward to welcoming you to Mottram Hall and helping you improve your game and realise your ambitions.
