Ashley Salt - Golf Lessons
Currently Club Professional at Trentham Golf Club, and Senior Teaching Professional at Trentham Golf Performance Centre. I have recently been awarded 'Advanced' Status by the Professional Golfers Association for my qualifications, achievements, knowledge and 30 years of coaching experience. As an Amateur Golfer I represented Staffordshire County at both boys and senior levels and I am a former Staffordshire boys Boy's and Midlands Boy's Amateur Champion. I started my PGA training at Ross-on-Wye Golf Club followed by Newcastle Golf Club, before getting my first Club Professional's position at Astbury Golf Club, where I spent 13 years. During my time at Astbury I coached British Boy's Champion and Cheshire Men's Champion, Mark Pilling, alongside other Cheshire County Players, and worked with European Tour Player, Andrew Sandywell. Also I was responsible for setting up various academies for beginner and junior golfers. I later became Club Professional at Newcastle Golf Club, where I spent 3.5 years before taking up my current position at Trentham Golf Club (an Open Qualifying Course). I have gained extensive knowledge from attending various workshops and seminars with some of the Worlds' Best Coaches such as, Butch Harmon, Denis Pugh, John Jacobs, Jim Hardy, Scot Cranfield, Dr Karl Morris, Dr Greg Rose (TPI) and Martin Hall. As well as my PGA qualifications I am a Certified NLP Sports Practitioner (Sports Psychology), a Certified Plane Truth Instructor, Golf Athlete Certified (Physical Screening Assessor) and Staffordshire County Coach.
